If you wait around in life for the perfect moment, you may be waiting forever. Moving ahead without guarantee of success…is precisely how you will grow as a human being. If you choose to subscribe to my advice, let me throw in an additional tidbit that you will need to know on your journey: don’t listen to people who say that you can’t.
Aside from being a Stunt Woman in a Pencil Skirt, I am also an artist and activist. Consequently, I have come to realize that out of the box thinkers can often be viewed as threats to mainstream infrastructures – be it government, corporations, or other organizations.
Why?
I suspect because risk takers often discover new and alternative ways to view the world, and to live life. If people take notice, this can lead to change. Change not only creates new opportunities, but it can also disrupt the existing, sometimes overly comfortable people who sit at the top.
True leaders know that their job is to lead, inspire, and promote evolution and growth. Surround yourself by these people. You only have one life to live. Why would you let anyone tell you that you can’t – when you know damn well that you can!
